A one-hour visit at R280 includes a wellbeing check, a tea and chat, walk and chat or an activity of your choice, light household tasks, a needs assessment for future services, a fridge and pantry check if required, a medication reminder and check, and family feedback if requested.

How are additional and medical services billed?

All additional and medical services are charged at R260 per hour within a 15km radius, plus an AA rate of R4.95 per km beyond. Partial hours after the first hour are billed in 30-minute blocks at a pro-rata half rate.

Which services are covered by the hourly rate?

The hourly rate covers accompanied shopping, outings, administration, technology assistance, the medical companion service, hospital visits and support for medical procedures, scans and x-rays.

Is there a travel charge for shopping, outings and medical companion services?

Shopping, outings and medical companion services are R260 per hour within a 15km radius. Outside the radius, an AA rate of R4.95 per km is added.

Do you provide medical and hospital support?

Yes. I offer a medical companion service with full door-to-door assistance, including being present at appointments. I also support hospital visits to admitted patients and procedures, scans and x-rays.

I cover Mediclinic Vergelegen, Busamed Hospital, Helderberg Hospital, Cure Day Hospital Paardevlei and Summerhill Surgical Centre Dennegeur. Please feel free to enquire about any other facility.

What do the monthly subscription plans include?

Essential (R1010/month) includes 4 wellness visits per month. Support (R1525/month) adds 2 shopping trips per month within a 15km radius. Comprehensive (R2000/month) includes 4 wellness visits plus your choice of any 4 hourly services.

Can I choose my own combination of services?

Yes. On the Comprehensive plan you choose any 4 services from shopping, outing, administration, technology, medical companion and hospital visit or support, all 1 hour each. Services that require travel are limited to a 15km radius, with the AA rate charged beyond.

How do I arrange a visit for a parent or relative?

Getting started is easy. Send me a message through the contact page or give me a call. We will have a short chat about your family member's routine, interests and needs, then book a first visit at a time that suits them.

Yes, if you would like. I will send a brief update after each visit — how things went, what we did, and anything you should know. I will only share what your family member is comfortable with.

Can a family member pay for the services?

Absolutely. Monthly packages and visits can be paid for by a family member on the client's behalf — we will just arrange the billing details when we set things up.

Of course. Whether you would like to sit in on a first visit or join occasionally, you are welcome. I know families often appreciate that peace of mind.

How do you keep my family member's information private?

Their privacy is very important to me. Anything shared with me stays between us, and I only discuss their situation with family members they have agreed I can speak to.

What if my family member is having a difficult day?

No problem at all. If they are not up for company or an outing, we will spend the time together quietly or reschedule. There is never any pressure — the visit is always on their terms.

Can you accompany them to medical appointments when I cannot be there?

Yes — that is exactly what the medical companion service is for. I provide door-to-door support: meeting them at home, getting to the appointment, being present during it, taking notes, and helping them home safely.

What happens on my first visit?

We will start with a friendly chat over a cup of tea so we can get to know each other. I will listen to what you enjoy, how you like to spend your time, and where a helping hand would make things easier. From there we can agree on a rhythm that suits you.

Do I need to prepare anything before a visit?

No, nothing at all — just be yourself. If you would like me to help with a task, like organising paperwork or setting up a new phone, let me know ahead of time and I will bring what is needed.

Yes. I work on my own, so you will always see the same familiar face. There is no rotation of different people, which I think makes visits feel far more personal.

Just ask. If it is within my abilities I am happy to help, and if it is not I will point you to someone who can. There is no harm in asking.
